One school in Michigan single-handedly took hallway beatdowns to disturbing new heights after a video of one male student brutally kicking a female student in the head went viral on social media.

“D**n!” one observer can be heard yelling during the brawl, which went down at East Kentwood High School in Kentwood, Michigan on Thursday.

Though it remains unclear what prompted the student from getting repeatedly punted in the face, the district issued a statement condemning the viral beatdown, one Principal Omar Bakri described as “disturbing and unacceptable.”

“This type of behavior, regardless of any circumstance, is not tolerated at East Kentwood High School,” he said of the incident.

But it isn’t just school officials who are peeved about the incident. As news of the fight made national news, several alleged former students headed to Facebook to express their frustrations.

“What happened? Back in the day the security guards would be all up our faces for not wearing our lanyard and now not even a single security to prevent that?” Arely Mendoza Ozuna commented on a recent post from the Kentwood High School Facebook page. “What are you going to do about this situation?

“Kentwood Public Schools we demand action immediately!!” wrote Brian Stewart II in a message tagging the district. “What happened at East Kentwood today is totally unacceptable. A young lady was brutally assaulted by a male student. This is a matter that shouldn’t be taken lightly by any means.”

We can only hope school officials get to the bottom of the viral incident … and that the girl in question gets some advil because she absolutely needs it.
